CARMEL SCHOOL
Carmel school was started in June 1993, in the rooms already existed in the Convent at Elamkunnu, near Little Flower Church. Late Sr. Cartias, the, then Superior of the Convent saw to the beginning of the new school with Std.I. In May 2002, the school was re-modelled on the top of the convent building with classes from Std I to Std IV . A total of 170 students and 7 Staff members were there by then. The increasing in number of students joining our School urged us to think of buying another piece of land with larger area for the further expansion of the school. A 2.29 acres of land was purchased at Vakkelpady near NES Block, Madappally in 2014 and the new School Building was constructed, with better facilities and was Blessed on 9 th April 2015 by His Lordship, Mar Joseph Perumthottam, Archbishop of Changanacherry. The new School started functioning from June 2015 with 350 students on roll from classes I-VII. KG Section continue to function in the rooms above the Convent. Meanwhile, the management started working for obtaining recognition from the State Government and it Obtained the required recognition from the General education department Kerala on 11-10-2019 along with the NOC to apply for CBSE affiliation up to Secondary level, which was then granted on 7-01- 2021 with affiliation No. 931351. The school comes with an uncompromising commitment. It aims to achieve specific, measurable, observable and quantifiable results among all aspirants who enter the portals of Carmel and provide a dynamic learning environment. The school cater to the needs of every student who strives for excellence through active learning and education. Moreover, the School has the core committed faculty which has come from accomplished backgrounds with vast experience. We go forward with hope under the protection of our Patron Our Lady of Mount Carmel to achieve greater heights.
